About the Client: 
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier within the food industry, mainly focused on ingredients, partnering with major food manufacturers, QSRs, and foodservice customers nationwide. They’re known for their commitment to quality, sustainability, and long-term customer relationships. As part of their ongoing national growth, we’re assisting them in appointing a National Account Executive based in Melbourne.
Whilst this role is Hybrid - the employee must be based in Melbourne to engage with Melbourne customers. 


About the Position
This role plays a key part in supporting strategic account management and driving category growth across manufacturing and foodservice channels. You’ll collaborate closely with General Manager based locally and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service, identify commercial opportunities, and ensure the seamless execution of customer programs.
• Support National Accounts: Partner with accounts to deliver on business plans, promotions, and customer objectives.
• Drive Commercial Insights: Analyse sales data, prepare forecasts, and identify trends or gaps to inform strategy.
• Strengthen Relationships: Build rapport with key customer contacts, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
• Coordinate Internally: Liaise with supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to manage orders, stock levels, and product availability.
• Contribute to Growth: Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and new product initiatives to expand market share.

About You
You’re a motivated and detail-focused sales professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’re commercially minded, proactive, and eager to grow within the FMCG and food manufacturing space.
• Experience in account management/business development, category support, or sales within food service or the Ingredients sector. 
• Strong commercial and numerical ability, with confidence analysing sales and margin data.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a focus on customer service and follow-through.
• Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across departments to deliver shared outcomes.
• A drive to learn, contribute, and develop toward a career in national account management.
