About the Position
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth, developing new client partnerships, and expanding the organisation’s presence across Australia. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role combines strategic business development, relationship management, and market engagement to position the organisation as a trusted partner in the analytics and insights space.
  • Develop & execute growth strategies: Build and deliver strategic business development plans that align with organisational goals, identify emerging opportunities, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Generate & manage new business opportunities: Proactively identify, qualify, and convert prospective clients, while maintaining a strong pipeline through consistent outreach, networking, and market research.
  • Strengthen client partnerships: Manage end-to-end client relationships, ensuring high satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term value creation through consultative engagement.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with technical, marketing, and client services teams to design tailored solutions, respond to proposals, and enhance the organisation’s value proposition.
  • Monitor performance & reporting: Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, track activity metrics, and provide regular reports on pipeline health and revenue forecasts.
  • Represent the organisation externally: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance market visibility and build relationships with key decision-makers.
About You
You’re an energetic, strategic, and relationship-focused professional who thrives on building partnerships that drive measurable business outcomes. You have a strong commercial mindset and a genuine curiosity about how data and analytics shape organisational success.
  • Proven sales expertise: Demonstrated experience in business development, account management, or partnership growth within the SaaS/Tech industry. Exposure to Utilities sectors/customers is advantageous. 
  • Strategic and analytical approach: Strong ability to identify market opportunities, develop account plans, and deliver against revenue targets.
  • Relationship and communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and influencing capabilities, with a consultative approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Commercial and results-driven mindset: Comfortable working to clear metrics, with the ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
  • Personal attributes: Resilient, proactive, and motivated by challenge, with strong integrity and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
