Our client is a well regarded international industrial manufacturer selling their products to global markets. As the company continues to evolve, they are now seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their site in the Bankstown area.

An experienced Project Engineer is required to support delivery of manufacturing transformation and day to day engineering activities. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused contract role. The contract is for 6 months with potential scope to extend if required.

The role suits a mechanical or process engineer who is comfortable working on-site, coordinating contractors, and supporting senior stakeholders to drive measurable operational improvement in an industrial manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and improve manufacturing workflows, layouts, and machine operations to lift efficiency and quality
  • Support planning, execution, and tracking of engineering projects
  • Assist with the design, installation, troubleshooting, and upgrade of automated and manual production equipment
  • Coordinate and support contractors, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
  • Support development and transfer of process knowledge across the operation
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

About You

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • Strong project engineering experience within industrial manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable operating on-site and working across multiple stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of process optimisation, equipment integration, and continuous improvement
  • Clear communicator who can work autonomously and keep projects moving
