Our Client, Snap Fitness APAC is one of the most recognised fitness brands across Australia and New Zealand and part of Lift Brands, a leading global health and wellness franchise organisation. With a strong franchise footprint, established brand presence and clear growth agenda, the business is focused on building high-performing clubs, engaged members and profitable franchise partnerships across ANZ.

As the business continues to scale, Snap Fitness is entering an exciting phase where operational consistency, leadership capability and franchisee performance will be key to unlocking its next stage of growth. Six Degrees Executive is excited to partner with the them to find their next Chief Operating Officer.

The role reports to the CEO, and is responsible for leading operational performance across ANZ and supporting the next phase of growth. This is a highly visible leadership position, accountable for driving club performance, lifting operational standards and enabling franchisees to build sustainable, high-performing businesses that reflect the Snap Fitness brand.

The COO will lead the ANZ Operations function, including National Operations Managers, and work closely with Marketing, Product and Franchise Development to improve member growth, retention and network performance. The role oversees both franchised and corporate-owned clubs, ensuring alignment between strategy, execution and commercial outcomes. A key focus will be strengthening operational discipline, leadership capability and franchisee engagement to support sustainable scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead operational performance across the ANZ network, ensuring consistency, execution and alignment to strategy
  • Partner with franchisees to improve club performance, profitability, member experience and compliance
  • Support delivery of the growth agenda, including network expansion and new club openings
  • Lead and develop the ANZ Operations team, building capability, accountability and a high-performance culture
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive member growth, retention and overall network performance
  • Oversee franchised and corporate-owned clubs, ensuring strong operational standards and commercial outcomes
  • Contribute to the executive team, shaping strategy and translating priorities into outcomes
The successful candidate will bring experience from a COO, GM, Director or Head of Operations level within a large, multi-site or franchise-led environment. While franchise experience is highly regarded, we will consider candidates from other sectors such as Retail, Healthcare or QSR.

You will understand the dynamics between franchisor and franchisee and have the credibility, commercial acumen and relationship skills to drive performance through influence rather than authority. You will have a track record of leading large, distributed networks, improving operational outcomes, building leadership capability and supporting growth within a customer-facing business. A strong commercial mindset, along with the ability to balance operational execution and broader strategic priorities, will be critical.

As a member of the executive team, you will contribute to and help shape the strategic direction of the business. This role blends operations, commercial leadership and strategy, requiring someone who can confidently move between long-term planning and day-to-day execution. The ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and translate strategy into tangible outcomes across the network will be highly valued.

Most importantly, you will be a visible and influential leader with strong emotional intelligence, sound judgement and the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences. You will be equally comfortable engaging with franchise owners, club teams and executive stakeholders, building trusted relationships and bringing people on the journey.

A genuine passion for supporting franchisee success, combined with a leadership style aligned to the values and culture of the Snap Fitness brand, will be essential.
