Event Operations Coordinator | 12-Week Contract | Melbourne

$53 per hour + 12% super | Immediate start | Hybrid

Looking for a role where you can make an immediate impact? We're partnering with one of Australia's leading wealth management technology businesses to find an experienced Event Operations Coordinator to support the delivery of their flagship annual Summit. This is a hands-on contract where you'll step into the final phase of planning for one of the company's biggest events of the year. The strategy, venue and overall event design are already in place, so your focus will be on bringing structure, managing logistics and ensuring every operational detail is delivered seamlessly. If you're someone who thrives on organisation, loves ticking things off a list and enjoys bringing order to complexity, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role

Working closely with the Events & Sponsorship Manager and Event Coordinator, you'll take ownership of several key operational workstreams, including:
  • Coordinating travel, accommodation and logistics for approximately 100 internal staff.
  • Managing speaker logistics across around 40 sessions, including biographies, headshots, presentations and approvals.
  • Building and maintaining detailed run sheets, briefing packs and project trackers.
  • Managing attendee communications, invitations and registrations.
  • Updating event content and attendee information within the EventsAir platform.
  • Supporting budget tracking, invoice processing and general event administration.
  • Coordinating suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
  • Providing operational support during the event itself.
About you

You'll have previous experience supporting corporate events, conferences, roadshows or large internal events and be comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once.

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has experience coordinating complex B2B or corporate events.
  • Is highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Can confidently manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Is proactive, resourceful and comfortable making decisions independently.
  • Communicates clearly and remains calm under pressure.
  • Enjoys process, structure and operational delivery.
  • Has experience using EventsAir or a similar event management platform (highly regarded).
What's on offer?
  • 12-week contract with immediate start.
  • $53 per hour + 12% super, paid fortnightly.
  • Hybrid working arrangement.
  • Opportunity to support one of the company's most significant annual events.
  • Potential for the contract to extend beyond the initial engagement.
If you're available to start in the coming weeks and enjoy the operational side of event delivery, we'd love to hear from you. Please reach out directly to Hannah on Hannahs@sde.com.au with your CV or apply here.
