We're partnering with a well-known Australian retailer undergoing a significant evolution of its Data & Analytics capability. As the business transitions to a new operating model, they're looking for an experienced analytics leader to steer the current function, maintain business continuity, and help establish the future capability.

You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and engaging a team of approximately 25-30 analytics (4-5 direct reports) professionals through a major organisational transition.
- Maintaining business-critical analytics services while managing stakeholder expectations and prioritising competing demands.
- Partnering with senior executives to shift the organisation from traditional reporting towards predictive analytics, AI and enterprise value delivery.
- Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and establishment of the future offshore analytics team, helping shape its operating model and capability.
They're looking for an experienced analytics executive who combines strong leadership with commercial thinking and exceptional stakeholder management.
You'll bring:
- Extensive experience leading large Analytics, Business Intelligence or Data functions through significant organisational change.
- A track record of delivering business value through analytics, moving beyond reporting into predictive analytics, AI and commercial decision-making.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the confidence to influence C-suite stakeholders, manage expectations and make difficult prioritisation decisions.
- Experience building and developing high-performing teams, ideally including global or offshore capability models.
- Technical credibility across modern analytics platforms such as Snowflake, although this is a leadership role rather than a hands-on technical position.
- Consulting or transformation experience will be highly regarded.
Essential details
- Chadstone based, four days per week
- Contract opportunity through to December
- Immediate start preferred, candidates with short notice periods will be viewed favourably
- Must have experience managing large teams in.
