This is an opportunity to join one of Australia's fastest-growing hospitality groups in a Head of Technology & AI position. With well-known brands including Sporting Globe, TGI Fridays and Varsity, the business is investing heavily in technology, AI and digital innovation to support its next stage of growth.

Technology sits at the centre of the customer experience, from loyalty platforms and mobile apps through to venue infrastructure, AV, software development and AI. With more than 50 venues nationally, an ambitious growth strategy and a leadership team that genuinely embraces technology, this is a role where you'll have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the business.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you'll lead a team of 12 across IT, Software Engineering and AV Operations, while driving the broader technology and AI strategy. You'll balance strategic planning with hands-on leadership, ensuring projects are delivered successfully while continuing to modernise the technology environment.

Key priorities include:
  • Developing and executing the technology and AI roadmap.
  • Leading major transformation projects across infrastructure, software, networking and AV.
  • Simplifying an environment of more than 120 technology platforms.
  • Driving AI adoption and automation across the business to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Managing technology budgets, vendors and commercial outcomes.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a high-performing technology leadership team.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to align technology investment with commercial priorities.
We're looking for someone who brings:
  • Previous experience leading IT or Technology functions within hospitality, retail or another multi-site environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including ownership of budgets, vendor management and investment decisions.
  • Experience delivering complex technology transformation and infrastructure projects.
  • Exposure across IT operations, software engineering, infrastructure, integrations and ideally AV technologies.
  • A genuine passion for AI and automation, with practical examples of how you've implemented AI to improve business outcomes.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial outcomes.
  • A leadership style that develops high-performing teams while creating accountability and ownership.
