Our client is an Australian manufacturing success story - a business that has shown innovation, growth and leadership in their category for decades. In recent years, the company has developed new product lines, expanded into overseas markets, brought in an equity partner and is poised for further growth through geographical expansion. In line with the growth trajectory, they are seeking a Chief Financial Officer who can help them realise the vision through commercial partnering with the CEO and board, potential acquisitions and geographic expansion. Our client is based regionally along the NSW/Victoria border.

About the role

As CFO you will be a member of the Executive team leading a team finance professionals and be responsible for partnering and collaborating with the CEO, board and the Executive Team to realise the strategic vision of the company:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive continual improvement and financial support to ensure the profitability of the business
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/Board in order to achieve growth targets
  • Drive continuous improvement and utilise technology to drive margin gains and further establish the position in the marketplace
  • Lead the finance team in the delivery of best practice function, demonstrating business partnering skills as well as be sure to meet all required statutory reporting, contractual obligations, auditing, tax, requirements and maintains an exemplary reputation through the management of governance and risk
  • Lead business strategy to improve operational efficiency and productivity while continuing to grow and expand
  • Develop and sustain a high performing team that delivers effective and efficient outcomes and internal customer satisfaction whilst aligning with business values

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will possess the below skills and experience:

  • Strong commercial and business partnering skills at board/CEO level
  • Demonstrated experience in building vision and strategy - able to bring others on the journey of growth, transformation and operational excellence
  • Exceptional skills in: commercial advice, reporting, systems, FP&A, operational effectiveness, cost management and company secretary functions
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams through significant growth and an understanding of the infrastructure, reporting, systems and operational effectiveness to achieve scale
  • Experience preferably in manufacturing
