Our client is a privately owned and fast-growing transport business with a modern fleet of 66 vehicles and a strong operational footprint across South-East Queensland. With a focus on delivering tailored freight solutions and driving commercial value for their customers, they are now seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to lead the development of key client accounts and support continued business expansion.
This role will suit someone who understands the operational realities of transport and freight and enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on, and solutions-focused environment.

About the Role
- Manage and grow key existing customer accounts through proactive and strategic account management.
- Develop and implement practical sales strategies to maximise fleet utilisation and increase customer wallet share.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer margins through freight solutions such as load optimisation, pricing strategy, and pallet efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with operations, allocations, and customer service to deliver seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Report on key metrics and sales performance using tools such as HubSpot, Freight 2020, and MT Data.
- Support the identification and development of new geographic regions and customer segments.
- 5+ years' experience in sales, operations, or account management within transport, logistics, or cold chain sectors.
- Strong operational understanding of local and metro freight.
- Commercially minded with a solution-first approach to customer engagement.
- Ability to confidently engage in operational and pricing conversations with key clients.
- Experience working in a fast-moving SME environment with limited hierarchy.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Lead high-value accounts in a growing business with direct access to senior leadership.
- Pathway into a broader commercial leadership role.
- Flat structure with real influence across sales, operations and delivery.
