Key Responsibilities:
- Digital & Behaviour Change Marketing:
- Lead the creation of marketing strategies that promote customer self-service adoption, reduce operational costs, and increase the uptake of digital transactions.
- Develop and deliver campaigns that target specific customer behaviors, ensuring a shift towards digital channels in key customer touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with digital product developments, such as app updates and customer service enhancements.
- Oversee the marketing for major digital initiatives and other key product launches.
- Commercial Marketing Leadership:
- Own the full marketing strategy and execution for a ~$100M business, including managing a ~$5M marketing budget.
- Drive always-on advertising, lifecycle marketing, and strategic product launches.
- Lead the development of new TV campaigns and ongoing media strategies, ensuring creative and media performance is optimized.
- B2B Marketing:
- Take a lead role in building the B2B marketing capability, working closely with the Head of Sales and Head of Commercial Development.
- Develop and implement marketing assets to support B2B sales enablement, including sales support materials, sponsorships, and co-marketing efforts.
- Create long-term B2B growth strategies for a portfolio in its early stages, contributing to both brand development and customer acquisition efforts.
- CRM & Lifecycle Marketing:
- Help lay the strategic foundations for CRM at the organization, focusing on customer engagement across all lifecycle stages, from onboarding through to advocacy.
- Collaborate with the Content team to support email marketing initiatives, ensuring segmentation and targeting efforts lead to optimized engagement and conversion rates.
- Drive customer retention and cross-sell strategies, while ensuring the integration of new CRM tools and technologies.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of 5 direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the team is aligned with business priorities.
- Guide the team in managing their day-to-day work and ensuring key marketing initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage the overall marketing budget (~$10M across all streams) to ensure resources are allocated effectively to support key initiatives.
- Strategic Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Legal, Operations, and Technology, to drive the alignment of marketing strategies with business objectives.
- Influence and guide stakeholders to deliver impactful marketing strategies that drive both commercial outcomes and long-term brand growth.
- Represent marketing in major cross-functional projects, ensuring marketing is integrated into key initiatives such as IT modernization, product launches, and business transformation.
- 10+ years of experience in leading marketing teams and executing end-to-end marketing campaigns, with a strong focus on behavior change, product marketing, and commercial performance.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex marketing projects across multiple channels, with a demonstrated track record of success in both B2C and B2B marketing.
- Deep experience in driving digital transformation marketing campaigns, including email marketing, digital advertising, and social media strategy.
- Highly skilled in data-driven marketing, with a strong ability to analyze performance metrics and use insights to optimize campaigns.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments, such as government services, health insurance, fintech, or telecommunications.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing marketing teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transformation-driven environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
