THE ROLE:
Working with a collaborative team this hands-on Distribution Centre Design Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Driving warehouse optimisation projects and providing technical expertise in facility design, layout planning and work flow enhancement from concept through implementation
  • Collaborating with site teams to implement CAD-based slotting and relay improvements while conducting regular on-site operational assessments to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Creating and maintaining the master library of facility designs and layouts with detailed technical documentation for all distribution centres
  • Supporting major automation integration, new facility commissioning projects and strategic transformation initiatives across the network
ABOUT YOU:
You are a technically-minded logistics professional with:
  • Proven experience navigating complex multi-site distribution environments with a strong technical aptitude for warehouse systems, design applications and automation technologies
  • Advanced AutoCAD skills combined with excellent spatial reasoning and 3D visualisation capabilities that allow you to translate operational needs into practical design solutions
  • A collaborative approach to stakeholder management with outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation
  • Relevant qualifications in logistics or operations management with project delivery experience and a passion for continuous improvement methodologies
