Category Manager - Indirect 

We’re working with a global business seeking a commercially focused procurement professional to help drive long-term value across their indirect spend categories. This permanent role is based in Queensland and sits within a well-established and high-performing procurement team.

You’ll be responsible for leading sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across a broad and diverse spend portfolio. The role requires a confident communicator who can influence stakeholders, manage complex contracts, and drive continuous improvement across procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead sourcing activities and manage supplier negotiations for key spend categories.
  • Develop and execute procurement plans to improve cost, compliance, and supplier performance.
  • Partner with stakeholders across operations, finance, and legal to deliver commercial outcomes.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement KPIs to drive quality and value.
  • Identify and mitigate risk through improved processes and contractual frameworks.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Strong end-to-end procurement experience in complex commercial environments.
  • Proven ability to deliver savings through negotiation and commercial strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Exposure to contract and data management within a structured procurement framework.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools.
