About the Role
As Contract Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the pre-works phase of a large-scale facility expansion at the company’s key manufacturing site in Melbourne’s south-east. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this role will see you coordinate planning activities, manage contractors, and prepare the site for full-scale construction. This is initially a 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension through the build and commissioning stages.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Oversee site preparation and early-phase works for a significant facility expansion
- Engage and manage external contractors and service providers
- Liaise with internal teams across operations, safety, and engineering to ensure alignment
- Drive project milestones, risk management, and stakeholder reporting
- Support a smooth transition into the construction and delivery phase
Skills & Experience required
- Proven experience in capital project delivery within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sectors
- Demonstrated success managing pre-works, site development, or infrastructure upgrades
- Ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and external contractors
- Strong understanding of compliance, safety standards, and project governance
- Hands-on, proactive approach with excellent communication skills
