About the Company
This is a proudly Australian retail business with a long-standing legacy and a name that’s trusted in homes across the country. While the foundations are strong, the business is now in the midst of an exciting transformation; repositioning the brand, driving innovation, and setting a clear strategy for growth and future relevance. It’s a business with heart and heritage, underpinned by a supportive culture and a real passion for helping Australians sleep better. With strong momentum and a team that’s energised for what’s next, this is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a category and business in transition.

About the Role
This is a future-shaping role focused on redefining an under-leveraged category within the business. You’ll lead the transformation of sleep accessories and emerging sleep solutions, building margin, attachment, and innovation into a category that’s ripe for reinvention. From simplifying core ranges to prototyping new concepts, you’ll be given a clear mandate to rethink and rebuild a smarter product offer. You’ll work cross-functionally with merchandising, digital, store ops, and training teams to deliver tangible commercial outcomes and scalable tools for execution.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading category transformation and core range development
  • Capturing rebate value and negotiating supplier terms
  • Rationalising SKU and vendor base for performance and simplicity
  • Designing executional tools for store teams and eCommerce
  • Delivering a strategic roadmap for growth

Skills and Experience Required
We’re looking for a commercially minded, data-driven operator with a strong background in category management, buying, or merchandising ideally within lifestyle, home, sleep, or FMCG. You’ll bring a sharp commercial lens, strong supplier management capability, and the ability to simplify complexity while building for growth. You’ll be confident working at both strategic and executional levels, with a solid grasp of trading metrics, margin, and product lifecycle planning. You’ll also be highly proficient in Excel, comfortable working through ambiguity, and capable of driving outcomes without relying on analyst support. Most importantly, you’ll bring curiosity, clarity, and a collaborative mindset—someone who can engage stakeholders, elevate ideas, and lead with purpose.
