The opportunity:
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and executing a measured and considered growth strategy, with a particular focus on revenue generation, key account management, and hands-on leadership of the sales team through market expansion and innovation initiatives. As a key member of the leadership team, the NSM will work closely with the GM and other senior leaders to identify and deliver on growth opportunities and improve
profit margins aligned with the vision: driving innovation and building a business focused on higher-margin, highly profitable segments providing steady incremental growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement national sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with key customers and stakeholders across multiple sectors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both core and diversified markets.
- Negotiate and close major sales agreements.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on sales performance metrics; recommend and implement improvements.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency and successful product launches.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Demonstrated experience as a hands-on sales leader in strategic business development, sales, and growth roles.
- Proven capability in solution selling and in communicating value to technical and executive stakeholders, operations, engineers, innovation & design leaders, procurement and up to C-suite executives.
- Strong broad industry network and knowledge across diverse fabrication and manufacturing sectors
- The ideal candidate will have had successful careers in both private and corporate organisations
- Robust commercial acumen, including a clear understanding of P&L management, profitably and financial drivers.
- Experience in complex technical solution sales, with a track record of securing high-value contracts and expanding market share.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing business development teams, often across multiple locations.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.
