About the Role
Vicinity Centres are seeking a full-time Design Studio Manager to start by September, to ensure strong leadership and workflow continuity during a period of upcoming campaign launches and a busy marketing calendar. This role is within our centralised, in-house design studio and part of a wider marketing team (12 people) alongside digital, product, partnerships, and planning teams.

Summary of Duties:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of three Senior Graphic Designers 
  • Oversee workflow and traffic management using Bynder (briefing and asset templates platform) and Monday.com ensuring timely and consistent delivery.
  • Represent the creative team in internal meetings; ensure brand consistency across campaigns and assets
  • Oversee efficient rollout of high-volume, templated digital and print assets across multiple brands
  • Attend internal meetings as the creative team’s representative; maintain brand look and feel in coordination with the Head of Brands, Creative Agencies and Campaign Team
  • Actively contribute creative and conceptual input while taking a hands-on role in design work to support the team as needed
  • Provide project direction, handle centre briefs, and support account management queries from the design team
  • Foster a positive team culture and handle challenging conversations as required
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 7+ years experience leading a design studio or creative teams (agency or in-house brand), ideally with retail exposure
  • Graphic design background with willingness and competence to provide hands-on design support
  • Strong people management skills; able to confidently manage complex personalities and performance
  • Expert in traffic/workflow management using Bynder and Monday.com (or similar tools)
  • Adept in rollout (not creation) of high-volume, templated digital and print assets.
  • Process-driven, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative mindset
  • Calm, resilient, able to manage up and thrive in a matrix-style, busy environment
  • Comfortable contributing to leadership decisions and open, transparent communication
  • Ready to “pitch in” and support your team at every level
