As they continue to diversify their offering and deepen relationships across core verticals, they are seeking a dynamic and commercially savvy leader to take ownership of a critical category portfolio.
 
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role that blends strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, business development, supplier partnership development and team leadership. You will lead a small team responsible for driving innovation, growth and profitability across a diverse set of categories.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the P&L for the business unit – including managing profitability
  • Lead and manage a small team of procurement professionals to execute category strategies and supplier initiatives.
  • Responsible for growing the business unit through strategic partnerships, penetrating new clients, uplifting sales with existing clients
  • Design and deliver customer-first solutions through product innovation and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage key supplier relationships, from commercial contract negotiations through to the implementation of joint business plans and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations and finance to ensure alignment and execution against growth targets.
 
About You
You’re a commercially driven leader with a proven ability to manage complex supplier negotiations and category growth strategies. You bring a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and have a track record of building strong supplier relationships and delivering tangible commercial outcomes.
 
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years in senior procurement, business development, or commercial leadership roles, preferably within a mid to large-sized organisation.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership and success in driving revenue and margin outcomes.
  • Expertise in category management, and supplier negotiations.
  • Proven success in leading high-performing teams and influencing at executive level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business-related discipline (MBA desirable).
  • Strong data and systems literacy, including advanced Excel and ERP/reporting tools.
