The Role Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this position will manage a portfolio of major national accounts within the Corporate Retail division (non-hardware) — with a strong focus on grocery and mass retail channels.
It’s an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Key Account Manager seeking their first step into a National Account Manager position. You’ll take full ownership for driving sales, profit and category performance across a dynamic and fast-moving customer base.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and growing key retail customers, including Woolworths, Coles, Big W, Costco and other major accounts
  • Developing and executing customer and category strategies to deliver sustainable growth
  • Managing trade spend, promotional planning and pricing strategy within agreed budgets
  • Preparing and delivering category reviews, business plans and retailer presentations
  • Partnering closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure flawless delivery and execution
  • Providing market insights, competitor analysis and recommendations to inform broader business strategy
About You You’re a commercially sharp, relationship-led account manager who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You may currently be managing Metcash or second-tier retail accounts and are now ready to take the next step into a National Account Manager role — or you’re an early-stage NAM seeking broader portfolio ownership and development opportunities.
To succeed, you’ll bring:
  • Experience in FMCG, Consumer or Retail channels (grocery experience highly advantageous)
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with proven trade spend management capability
  • Ability to build trusted customer partnerships and influence at all levels
