Locally, their modern manufacturing site in Dandenong is a key part of their supply network, operating multiple high-speed production lines.

The Opportunity
This is a newly created role for a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of ~20 people in a highly automated, 24/7 FMCG environment across multiple production lines. This is a critical leadership role that will shape the next chapter for the maintenance function and for the site.

You will take ownership of day-to-day maintenance delivery, building engagement and accountability across the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and align the maintenance team, driving engagement and creating visibility.
  • Drive balance across preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to maximise OEE and uptime.
  • Partner with production, reliability and planning to introduce effective metrics and daily management systems.
  • Introduce best practice maintenance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership during major breakdowns and annual shutdowns.
  • Ensure CMMS (MEX) is fully leveraged for planning, reporting and performance visibility.
Skills & Experience
  • Trade or engineering qualified in mechanical or electrical.
  • 10+ years experience within FMCG, food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environments.
  • 5+ years’ leadership experience with a proven track record of lifting team culture and driving accountability.
  • Exposure to automated filling, case packing and high-speed equipment is highly desirable.
  • A pragmatic leader – visible and supportive on the floor, but trusting the team to deliver day-to-day.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance best practice and CMMS systems (MEX or similar).
  • Collaborative and approachable, able to work closely with production and reliability teams.

Why?
This is a rare chance to shape and lead the maintenance function of a market leading blue chip global FMCG business with real investment behind it. You will join a highly committed leadership team committed to doing things the right way — balancing performance with culture, and long-term vision with day-to-day delivery.
