About the Company
Our client, a privately owned and rapidly expanding national organisation is seeking an accomplished property professional to lead its acquisitions and leasing strategy. With a strong pipeline of developments across Victoria and Queensland, this newly created role offers the opportunity to drive significant portfolio growth within a purpose-driven business known for quality design, innovation, and long-term partnerships.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Acquisitions & Leasing will identify, negotiate, and secure new development opportunities across Australia including mixed used sites. You’ll lead commercial negotiations for acquisitions, freehold and leasehold arrangements, and develop tenancy strategies for retail and food & beverage components within new projects.

The role requires a blend of commercial acumen, stakeholder influence, and hands-on deal execution. You’ll collaborate closely with the development, finance, and project teams to assess feasibility, manage due diligence, and ensure all transactions align with the company’s growth and investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, assess, and secure new development and leasing opportunities nationally.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for acquisitions, leaseholds, and freehold purchases.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and advisors to assess feasibility, model returns, and evaluate risk.
  • Develop leasing strategies that optimise yield, occupancy, and tenant mix.
  • Build and maintain strong networks with agents, landlords, developers, and councils.
  • Provide market insights to inform the national property pipeline and investment priorities.
About You
  • 10–15 years’ experience in property acquisition, development, or commercial leasing across retail, mixed-use, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record negotiating and closing complex property transactions.
  • Strong commercial, financial modelling, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep understanding of property law, leasing structures, and planning frameworks.
  • A proactive, relationship-driven leader with strong networks in VIC and QLD.
Why Join?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior strategic role within a business entering its next growth phase — combining scale, autonomy, and purpose. You’ll work directly with the executive team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation’s property footprint.
