About the role
In this role, you will join the Grocery team and support a portfolio including Coles, Woolworths, Metcash and Aldi. You’ll operate in a commercial support capacity — handling reporting, forecasting, coordinating customer activity, and assisting with range reviews and promotional planning. You’ll work key internal stakeholders and begin to build fluency in retailer systems (such as the Coles and Woolworths portals). Over time, as your confidence and understanding deepen, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll report to the Grocery Lead and be part of a commercial team of around 40 people. The role offers high visibility, learning opportunities, and a pathway towards account management as your skills develop.

Skills & expertise required
We’re seeking someone who blends analytical ability, a commercial mindset, and the confidence to engage across internal and external stakeholders. Ideally, you have experience working with or supporting major grocery channels and are comfortable manipulating data, producing forecasts, and building reports using Excel and other systems. Experience with retailer/supplier portals or familiarity with retail systems will be highly regarded. You’ll bring curiosity, proactivity, and attention to detail — able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving, collaborative team. Candidates with backgrounds in commercial support, category, analyst roles, or those in field sales ready to shift into a more commercial capacity may all be appropriate, so long as they bring strong technical ability, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
