The Business
We are partnering with Fancy Hank’s Group, the team behind three iconic Melbourne venues Fancy Hank’s, Good Heavens and Springrock, to appoint a Marketing Manager as they enter an exciting next phase of growth. Each venue has its own personality and loyal community, united by a shared mission to create places people genuinely want to be. With strong foundations in place, Fancy Hank’s Group is now looking to scale its impact across Melbourne’s hospitality scene.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this Marketing Manager role will lead marketing strategy and execution across the full venue portfolio. The focus is on driving growth through brand building, customer acquisition and retention, and performance led marketing that delivers real commercial outcomes.
This is a hands on opportunity suited to a marketer who understands hospitality, loves building brands in the real world, and knows how to turn marketing into bookings and foot traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy
• Develop and deliver a portfolio wide marketing strategy aligned to business growth objectives
• Define brand positioning and messaging while preserving each venue’s distinct identity
• Track industry trends, competitor activity and customer data to identify opportunities
• Partner closely with senior leadership to ensure marketing supports broader business goals
Customer Acquisition
• Drive acquisition through paid media including Meta and Google, SEO, email and partnerships
• Plan and execute event marketing and promotional campaigns
• Build and manage local partnerships and community relationships
• Coordinate PR and influencer activity to increase reach
• Optimise website and booking journeys to improve conversion
Retention and Loyalty
• Develop and enhance loyalty programs to drive repeat visitation and customer lifetime value
• Build CRM strategies focused on segmentation and personalised engagement
• Use customer insights to improve retention and increase direct bookings
Content and Brand
• Own brand consistency and storytelling across digital, social, in venue and PR channels
• Oversee content creation across website, social, video and editorial
• Ensure all brand touchpoints support engagement and revenue growth
Measurement and Budget
• Measure campaign effectiveness and optimise spend across channels
• Manage marketing budgets and external suppliers
• Report on performance including bookings, engagement and revenue
Key Requirements:
• 5 to 7 years' experience in marketing, ideally within hospitality, entertainment or related industries
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience developing and executing brand strategies
• Confident working with data and translating insights into action
• Experience managing paid media campaigns end to end
• Collaborative and comfortable working closely with operations teams
• Self motivated and able to manage multiple brands simultaneously
• Based in or willing to be based in Melbourne
• Experience with digital marketing platforms, analytics tools and CRM systems
