We are partnering with Chobani, who are seeking a Commissioning Engineer on a 12 month FTC to support their significant capital program. Wth major expansion initiatives underway to double and, in some areas, triple production capacity, they are upgrading their manufacturing facility in Dandenong while continuing to meet strong and growing consumer demand.

About the Role
The business is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of multiple new filling and packing lines as part of the major project of works. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in executing on-site commissioning activities, ensuring equipment is installed, tested, and handed over to operations in line with performance, quality, and safety expectations.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Lead and supervise commissioning activities across filling, case packing, and palletising equipment
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans, protocols, and validation activities
  • Coordinate OEMs, contractors, and vendors during installation and performance trials
  • Verify equipment performance against design, throughput, and quality standards
  • Manage and close out commissioning punch lists, including liaison with suppliers
  • Support commercialisation activities, including recipe setup and date coding
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams during trials and ramp-up
  • Ensure all commissioning documentation and handover records are completed and stored correctly
About You
  • Proven experience commissioning filling or packaging lines within FMCG or another relevant industry
  • Strong technical understanding of processing and/or packaging equipment
  • Hands-on, practical approach with the ability to troubleshoot in real time
  • Experience working with OEMs and managing contractors on-site
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume production environment
