Six Degrees Executive is proud to be partnering with Graphene Manufacturing Group (GMG), an innovative clean technology and advanced nono-technology manufacturing business focused on producing graphene and developing commercial products across energy saving and energy storage applications.

Their work includes thermal management solutions, lubricants, and graphene aluminium-ion battery technology.

The business is continuing to scale its local production capability and commercialise a range of technical products across multiple markets.

This is a hands-on environment suited to someone who enjoys solving real operational problems, working closely with production teams, and helping a growing business improve how things are made.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support across production, maintenance, consumables, and operational improvement activities.
  • Identify and resolve production issues, including equipment performance, process inefficiencies, downtime, quality concerns, and waste.
  • Work closely with operators, technical staff, maintenance, suppliers, and management to support smooth production outcomes.
  • Review current processes and identify practical improvements to increase reliability, output, and consistency.
  • Support the development and improvement of work instructions, standard processes, and production documentation.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting, minor modifications, commissioning, and improvement initiatives.
  • Use production data and operational feedback to understand issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support safety standards across the production environment, including permits, isolations, and safe work practices.
  • Communicate clearly across different levels of the business, from shop floor teams to senior technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a proactive, collaborative, and improvement-focused culture.

Skills and experience
  • Background in mechanical, production, manufacturing, industrial, or similar engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, process plant, industrial, or technical production environment.
  • Strong practical problem-solving ability, with confidence working close to production and equipment.
  • Understanding of maintenance, mechanical systems, plant equipment, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and apply it in a live production environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Curious, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a growing business where priorities can shift.
  • Experience in clean tech, industrial manufacturing, specialty materials, chemicals, energy, utilities, or similar environments would be highly regarded.
