About the company

This market-leading infrastructure and industrial services business operates nationally and supports some of Australia’s largest commercial and infrastructure projects. With a significant national footprint, a highly asset-intensive operation and continued growth across Victoria, the business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead one of its key operational sites in Melbourne’s south east.

About the role

Reporting to the Victorian General Manager, this role will lead a busy, high-performing depot operation responsible for the movement, maintenance, return and dispatch of critical hire equipment across major projects. The focus of the role is to drive safety, performance, accountability and operational efficiency without compromising service standards.

This is a leadership role for someone who can engage teams, tighten process, improve execution and create structure within a fast-moving operational environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead and drive a strong safety-first culture across the site
  • Drive operational efficiency across labour, transport and asset utilisation
  • Improve stock control, process discipline and inventory management optimisation
  • Support continuous improvement and systems implementation initiatives

Skills & Experience

This is a leadership role for someone who can engage teams, tighten process, improve execution and create structure within a fast-moving operational environment. You bring strengths in inventory management, along with a visible, hands-on leadership style, along with exposure to project management. Experience within the building construction or industrial services services sector will be preferenced.
