Our Client is a well-established and growing organisation operating within a technical and industrial environment. With a strong market presence and continued investment in the Australian business, they are seeking an experienced purchasing professional to help drive greater visibility, governance and commercial value across their indirect spend portfolio.

The Role of Indirect Purchasing Manager is newly created and will be responsible for managing and optimising a broad portfolio of indirect expenditure across the Australian business.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing existing spend, supplier arrangements and procurement practices.
  • Developing and implementing category strategies across multiple indirect spend categories.
  • Leading commercial negotiations, supplier management and contract activities.
  • Establishing procurement governance, policies and best-practice processes.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost optimisation, supplier consolidation and risk mitigation.
  • Partnering closely with stakeholders across multiple business functions to influence commercial outcomes.
  • Supporting procurement systems enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Acting as a trusted procurement advisor to the broader business.
We're Looking For:
  • Experience managing indirect procurement categories within a complex business environment.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management capability.
  • Demonstrated success delivering procurement improvements, category reviews or procurement transformation initiatives.
  • The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Exposure to ERP systems and procurement technology platforms will be highly regarded.
Industry experience is flexible, with capability, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills considered more important than sector background.
