Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established Australian business supplying essential products to a diverse range of industrial customers across the country. With a strong reputation for customer service, long-standing client relationships and continued growth, they are expanding their Melbourne sales team with the addition of an Internal Account Manager.

Role Overview:
Based in Broadmeadows and reporting to the State Sales Manager, you'll manage an established portfolio of Victorian customers while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts. The role is primarily account management, with a small focus on following up qualified leads. All done over phone from the office, with a career development plan to progress into field sales.
 
This position suits someone who enjoys building relationships over the phone, is organised, proactive and looking to develop a long-term career in sales.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customer accounts across Victoria.
  • Build strong customer relationships through regular outbound calls and communication.
  • Identify upselling, cross-selling and account growth opportunities.
  • Follow up qualified leads and convert new business opportunities.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and respond to customer enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity within the CRM.
  • Work closely with the wider sales team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
 
Skills & Attributes:
  • 3-5 years' experience in phone-based sales, customer service, internal sales or outbound customer service.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships over the phone.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Resilient, proactive and motivated to achieve sales targets.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
