Finance Solution Architect  Melbourne (hybrid)

You've done the SAP/Oracle techno-functional grind. You know your GL codes from your cost centres, and you've sat across the table from a vendor and actually held your ground. Sound like you? Read on.
Our client builds the data centres powering the AI boom. Backed by a major global investment firm since 2024, they're mid-reinvention — replacing spreadsheet-run finance processes with real systems, at genuine pace. Think 30/60/90-day delivery cycles, not 30/60/90-day planning cycles.
Right now they're deep in RFP for a new cost platform, and reworking the integration between NetSuite (ERP) and Kyriba (treasury). You'd be joining as the solution architecture brain in the room — sitting through vendor demos, shaping the high-level and detailed design, mapping integration points, and making sure whatever gets built actually holds up to the business's standards. You won't be configuring the system yourself — you'll be the one keeping the vendor and delivery partner honest.

What you'll actually need to know:

  • Core finance process and master data — vendors, bank accounts, cost centres, GL codes, AP/AR
  • How an ERP, cost platform and treasury system talk to each other (or should)
  • What breaks when you decommission a legacy system and shift the functionality elsewhere
  • Bonus points for treasury/FX hedging exposure, or hands-on with Anaplan
What you won't need:
  • A finance qualification — there's already a process SME on the team for that
  • To write a single line of config
  • Patience for bureaucracy — there isn't any
The setup:
  • 6-month contract,  (this is a 3-year programme of work)
  • Hybrid, 3 days a week, Melbourne-based (key stakeholders sit in Sydney, so you'll work closely with them remotely)
  • Efficient interview process — no runaround
  • Full access to AI tooling, no one's precious about it
Straight-talking client, straight-talking process. If you can talk fluently about master data objects and hold your own in a design conversation, we want to hear from you this week.
