About the role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager – Member Engagement and Products, this instrumental role will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the organic social media and internal community social media platform engagement strategy. The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in positioning the brand, retaining our members and supporting acquisition efforts with organic messages. It requires a focus on best practice implementation of both strategic and tactical social media communication programs with a strong emphasis on analysis for continuous improvement. In addition, you will also be responsible for:
• Executing the social media strategy and programs including but not limited to member recognition, testimonials, staff spotlights
• Optimising channels to increase visibility
• Planning, managing and maintaining the social media calendar
• Developing and optimising social media content using data and insights
• Monitoring social media and online member communities to gather insights on brand sentiment and mitigate risk
• Executing the community engagement strategy, including identifying opportunities to optimise online platforms, increasing engagement and generating insights and content.
Skills and Experience
You are a degree qualified, social media expert with hands-on experience in developing strategies and managing content across multiple digital channels. You have 4+ years experience in the development and delivery of social media campaigns, as well as producing content including video. With particularly strong experience using LinkedIn, you understand the social media landscape and trends, and are constantly trawling platforms and analysing trends. You always want to be at the heart of what matters most to your audience, and are constantly hungry to find ways to engage with new audiences through brilliant content. You are a hybrid between being an expert in sound communications, creative campaign development and uncovering customer insights through data. With a strong track record in stakeholder management, you are able to collaborate with senior stakeholders and navigate through competing priorities. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self driven and are adaptable in the face of change.
