Sonya Oberstar joined our Melbourne team in 2026, brings nearly two decades of technical recruitment expertise, having started her career in 2006 specialising in the RDBMS market. Over the years, she has developed deep capability across Technical Operations, ERP, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Project Services, with a strong focus on contract recruitment and large-scale transformation support. Her emotionally intelligent and collaborative approach has made her a trusted advisor to clients, candidates, and colleagues alike.

Sonya has partnered with organisations to build high-performing in-house technical teams, from operational builds to full project and transformation teams. Outside of recruitment, she’s an adventurer at heart-4WD enthusiast, camper, traveller, and Box Rally driver. In her most recent feat, she drove a 2000 Camry from Canberra to Townsville via the outback, raising over $13K for cancer research. Her motto? “Be better.”
