We are partnering with a small, specialist professional services firm that is part of a large, privately owned global business, established over 40 years ago. Their unique offering has impacted millions of lives in an area of growing importance to many organisations. Operating in the ANZ region for the past 15 years, the local business is in a strong position — profitable, nimble, and currently enjoying sustained double-digit annual growth. Their services are designed specifically for sectors where regulation, care outcomes, and wellbeing are paramount — including healthcare, aged care, education, government and broader human services. With recent legislative reforms increasing demand, complaince and complexity in these areas, the firm is well-positioned for significant expansion.
The Role
This Regional Director role is a rare opportunity to take a high-impact leadership position within a values-driven, high-performing, and growth-focused organisation. You'll be responsible for leading the ANZ business through its next phase of expansion, building on its established market presence, strong client relationships, and global backing. As Regional Director, you will have full P&L ownership for the region and be accountable for driving strategic growth, commercial outcomes, and operational excellence. You will lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, cultivate high-value client relationships, and expand the firm’s footprint across key sectors. This is a role for a leader, not a manager — someone who can inspire, influence, and bring out the best in a diverse, multidisciplinary team. Success will require a hands-on approach and the ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and change while ensuring alignment with the global group’s strategic direction. Values based leadership is core to the success of the role as is the ability to thrive in a smaller but global business.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in professional services — ideally with exposure to healthcare, education, or human services — and a track record of successfully growing businesses in matrixed or global environments. You will be highly accomplished in sales and market development, customer-centric in your approach, and a polished communicator able to engage credibly at all levels. Most importantly, you will be a values-led leader — inclusive, empathetic, culturally aware, and committed to building psychologically safe, high-performing teams. You will set the right behavioural standards, foster mutual trust, and bring a growth mindset that balances commercial ambition with purpose-driven outcomes. We are looking for the highest levels of self-awareness and emotional intelligence and a leader who creates followship through the building of a shared vision that's aligned to organisational values.
