About the Role
Our client is a well-established global manufacturer based in Melbourne’s South East, currently in a significant growth phase and increasing production capabilities. To support this growth, they are seeking a Process Engineer on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension based on project requirements and performance. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to an engineer who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems in real time, and contributing directly to operational improvements. You'll play a key part in process optimisation and equipment commissioning during a high-impact period for the business.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Support the ramp-up and commissioning of equipment
  • Troubleshoot production issues and deliver practical, data-driven solutions
  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and quality-focused operations
  • Maintain detailed documentation including SOPs and process change records
What We're Looking For:
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with process optimisation and continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering tangible outcomes
