Production Supervisor

We are currently partnering with a food producer that are known for creating high quality food products for the Retail and Food Service Industries. 
To maintain the current growth trajectory they are seeking an experienced Food Manufacturing Production Supervisor to join the team.
 
In this role you will be responsible for managing and overseeing production, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and excellence throughout the manufacturing processes.
 
The Role
 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include;
Effectively manage and lead a team of between 50 - 80 team members using coaching, developing, delegation and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals.
  • Manage and monitor operational areas performance levels, ensuring they are meeting Food Safety and Product Quality KPI’s.
  • Implement and monitor strategies to reduce staff turnover and ensure labour cost base is productive, efficient, and cost competitive.
  • Driving a safety-first culture and ensuring all factory operations are conducted to the highest degree of safety, security and general housekeeping
  • Ensure regular preventative maintenance is carried out in conjunction with production needs
  • Manage production output and stock management
  • Improve engagement and culture through leadership, training and being a good mentor for the production team.
  
Your Background
 
In order to be successful in this role you will have;
Experience with leading and engaging a large team, with the capabilities to create a collaborative and positive working environment - Food processing and packing experience is essential. 
  • Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies 
  • Ability to analyse data, understanding production and team performance to improve efficiencies, such as meeting dollar per kilogram targets. 
  • Excellent communication with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong and effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to solve problems.
