Senior Project Manager

Six Degrees are partnering with an Educational Institute on two business critical projects. We would love to hear from Senior Project Managers who can add value to the organisation and lead a major program of work.

The main function of the Senior PM will be:

  1. Project Management Expertise
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in project management, ideally in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile).
  • Proven ability to deliver regulatory or compliance-related projects on time and within budget.
  1. Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and governance structures.
  • Experience working with or implementing responses to legislative changes (e.g., APRA, ASIC, TEQSA, Privacy Act, or sector-specific reforms).
  • Ability to interpret legislation and translate it into operational and project requirements.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional teams and engaging with senior stakeholders, including legal, compliance, risk, and operational leaders.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, steering committees, and reporting to executive governance bodies.
  1. Change Management and Uplift Delivery
  • Experience in delivering uplift programs, especially those involving policy, process, systems, and culture change.
  • Familiarity with change management principles (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) and how they integrate with compliance initiatives.
  1. HE Sector Experience (ideally)
  • Sector-specific experience would be highly valuable.
  • Understanding of institutional structures and how compliance is embedded across business units.
