About the company
Our client is a global leader in the FMCG industry, supplying premium food product to the foodservice sector for over 70 years. Known for innovation, consistency, and quality, they’ve built strong partnerships with distributors and key customers across the HORECA channel in Australia and around the world. Following a recent restructure and renewed focus on direct-to-market engagement, they’re now entering an exciting phase of growth and reinvestment in the local market. With a strong brand, well-known product range, and national footprint, the business is focused on expanding its reach and regaining market share at end-user level.
About the role
These are newly created part-time roles (2–3 days per week) focused on building relationships with the end- user channel across metro Melbourne. You’ll be selling a core range of SKUs and working in close partnership with nominated distributors and a high-end customer base. With a mix of warm leads and direct outreach, these in-field based positions will be all about driving and winning business within our client’s key customer portfolio by qualifying leads, setting meetings, driving trials of key products, and acting as the face of the brand in market. The roles will start as a 3–6-month contract with a strong possibility to go permanent if successful.
Skills and expertise required
We’re looking for someone who can literally hit the ground running! You’ll need previous experience in foodservice sales, ideally with exposure to distributor channels or direct-to-store selling. The ability to build rapport quickly, manage your own activity, and get out into the market is key. This would suit someone immediately available – perhaps returning to the workforce or between roles – who wants to make an impact quickly. You’ll need comfort working in the field, specifically within the end-user channel. If you are keen to join a high performing team in a leading global food business, these opportunities could be for you!
