Maintenance Plan/Infrastructure Advisor in CQ based in Rockhampton:

Your opportunity

As the Infrastructure Advisor, you will:
  • Provide quality advice and consultancy services to schools, senior management and staff on a diverse range of facilities planning, investment and portfolio operations.
  • Interact with other resource management specialists in areas relevant to the delivery of the work unit’s services.
The Infrastructure Advisor reports to the Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Services Division.

Your role

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide client focused facilities services and advice to staff in schools, regional centres and other educational centres as well as the wider community.
  • Provide high level advice, information and support services to clients across a broad range of facilities planning, investment and asset management issues. 
  • Coordinate with other regional facilities teams, Infrastructure Services Division and external service providers in the provision of a broad range of facilities services.
  • Collaborate with staff across regional facilities teams, Infrastructure Services Division and other agencies to provide a comprehensive field-based facility support service to clients.
  • Prepare ministerial responses, reports and briefing materials.
  • Adopt and use business practices and processes in accordance with division standards and direction. 
  • Manage and monitor the delivery of designated capital works, maintenance and facilities services in accordance with defined scope, budget, delivery timetable and quality standards.
  • Advise senior officers on a broad range of facilities planning and asset management issues.
  • Conduct and report on operational audits of physical assets.
  • Participate in and assist with the professional development of regional staff in relevant competencies.
