AO5 Senior Procurement Officer
15/09/2025 to 13/03/2026, with possible extension
AO5/1 Level – $68.22/hr

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to support QBuild’s procurement operations across the SEQ. This role will focus on delivering high-quality procurement outcomes for construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with the Queensland Procurement Policy while driving cost-effective and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate procurement strategies and policy requirements to staff
  • Deliver training and support to improve procurement practices
  • Prepare and evaluate tenders across construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade projects
  • Implement local procurement processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and performance standards
  • Support medium and major building contract implementation
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement policies, delegations, and legislation
  • Manage escalated customer queries, maintaining high service standards
Requirements
  • Understanding of procurement processes and Queensland Procurement Policy
  • Experience preparing and managing tenders across construction and maintenance categories
  • Ability to engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders effectively
  • Strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills
  • Experience in government procurement or similar environments is highly desirable
