This is a great opportunity for an up-and-coming Production Manager with a genuine passion for becoming an expert in their field. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you’ll lead a team of around 10 within your division, playing a key role in day-to-day operations, with a mix between planning and walking the floor. More than just a leadership position, this role is integral to shaping the future growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Quality Management: Maintain high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing and installation process
- Planning & Scheduling Management: Allocation of resources for all manufacturing activities, tasks & projects
- Inventory Management: Oversee and control the purchasing of materials and organise storage of inventory stock
- Provide support and lead from the front, with the ability to provide clear direction to the fabrication & installation team, fostering a culture of collaboration & accountability
- Develop, maintain and grow relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, by balancing professionalism with the confidence to have tough conversations when needed
- Champion safety initiatives and protocols, fostering a culture continuous improvement and adherence to the process
- Mentor and train your team while upholding company standards that are critical to maintaining high-quality craftsmanship
Skills & experience
- Extensive understanding of and experience of working with steel in a building material capacity
- Steel or metal manufacturing experience absolutely essential
- Ability to think on your feet and be agile, knowing when to move between various tasks, while ensuring prioritisation of urgent activities
- Outstanding communication and relationship management experience is a must
- A relevant degree in a Mechanical trade qualification such as; (ideally MIG welding) also open to seeing boilermakers
- 2-4 years of experience in working as a Production Supervisor
- Communicate clearly and effectively, ensuring your message is easy for the broader team to understand and apply
