Your opportunity

Six Degrees is recruiting an exciting Digital Marketing Officer position for a very dynamic and exciting QLD Government organisation. Reporting to the Manager, Brand and Client Experience, you will contribute to the development and delivery of website and digital marketing activities that promote key programs and strategic initiatives. You will also play an active role in improving the organisation’s online experience by supporting digital transformation work, collaborating with stakeholders and helping to refine existing processes into more effective digital marketing and communication solutions.

This role will work across the division and the Client Engagement Project for a six-month period, with primary responsibility for supporting the project’s digital strategy and customer-journey mapping linked to the Apollo (Salesforce) platform. The role will be divided between business-as-usual marketing activity and contributing to the Salesforce project. It requires strong capability in briefing, content development, managing distribution lists and coordinating digital deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimise Salesforce Marketing Cloud activities, including campaign automation, personalised templates, and cloud page design.
  • Undertake technical mapping and integration tasks to improve data flows and marketing performance.
  • Support website content management, including front-end updates, optimisation, and alignment with CMS systems.
  • Collaborate across the team to deliver marketing and communication strategies, ensuring system updates, reporting, and general digital maintenance are completed efficiently.
  • Monitoring digital performance using the Google Analytics suite to inform decisions and optimise activity
Projects & Focus Areas
  • Maintain and optimise Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Contribute to marketing automation and data-driven communication through Salesforce.
  • Drive website improvements and technical support for digital campaigns.
  • Assist with broader strategy and communications projects as part of the SEC team.
  • Supporting Salesforce CRM integrations and operational outputs automations, and data reporting for improved client engagement.
Technical Requirements
  • Proven experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (essential), including automation and backend configuration.
  • Strong digital marketing and website management skills, ideally with experience across CMS and cloud-based tools.
  • Ability to balance technical and creative tasks, supporting both IT and marketing functions.
Marketing: 
  • Support DXP / Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem;
  • Manage user roles, permission, and data security;
  • Ensure data integrity, best practices, and bug resolution;
  • Document Requirements and Changes.
Integration Management:
  • Working with SFMC and External API's (REST/SOAP) to develop and test;
  • Integrate DXp/SFMC with other martech / analytics tools;
  • Perform data configuration, manipulation, and segmentation;
  • Ensure seamless dataflow analysis and reporting
  • Write/test SQL, SSJS, and AMP 
Marketing Automation and Personalisation:
  • Design, execute, and optimise automated marketing campaigns;
  • Develop personalised templates and advanced segmentation;
  • Provide expertise in SQL, Data Extensions, Automations and Cloud Pages;
  • Gather feedback for user adoption improvement;
