About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading Australian healthcare distribution business to appoint a Warehouse Manager at its newly established 15,000 m² facility in Willawong.
This is a hands-on site leadership role overseeing a high-volume distribution operation supporting customers across Queensland, interstate and regional Australia.
With approximately 110 employees and 6 direct-report supervisors, this is an opportunity for an experienced warehouse leader to take ownership of site performance, team engagement and operational change at an important stage of the facility's development.
The Role
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership across the site, with responsibility for:

The site is going through a significant period of change, so you will need to be comfortable taking ownership, creating structure where required and driving change through to successful implementation.
You will also need to operate with a high degree of autonomy, working closely with national leadership while being the key operational leader on site.

The Role
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership across the site, with responsibility for:
- Leading day-to-day warehouse operations across a 2-shift environment
- Managing and developing 6 supervisors and approximately 110 site employees
- Building engagement, accountability and capability across the workforce
- Leading inbound, receiving and put-away operations across carton, pallet and container deliveries
- Embedding recent site and system changes, including Manhattan WMS and SAP
- Leading the implementation of an upcoming mobile dock solution
- Driving continuous improvement across warehouse processes, productivity and cost
- Maintaining high standards of Good Warehousing Practice (GWP) and regulatory compliance
- Maintaining and reinforcing strong safety standards
- Managing the relationship with employee representatives, including grievance resolution
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to simplify processes, reduce waste and improve operating performance
- Providing accurate operational reporting and maintaining strong communication across stakeholders
You will be an experienced warehouse or distribution leader who is comfortable operating in a complex, high-volume environment and enjoys being visible and engaged with your team.
You will bring:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, DC Manager or equivalent
- Experience leading large warehouse or distribution teams
- Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of improving engagement and team culture
- Demonstrated experience leading teams through significant operational, system or site change
- Experience across both automated and manual warehouse environments
- Strong operational discipline and organisational skills
- The resilience and communication skills to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within a regulated or highly compliant environment will be highly regarded
- Exposure to a unionised workforce and grievance management would be advantageous
- Competent Microsoft Office skills

- Development of a stronger, more capable supervisor team
