National Safety Manager
The company
This is a global industrial products manufacturer that supplies into the consumer and commercial markets with a large site network across the APAC region - their products are strong performers in their category and they are positioned to grow. Safety is a key focus with strong support from the executive - although they have not experienced serious safety issues, there is a lot of room for improvement and a significant sustained step change is being sought both in their systems and in fostering a proactive and preventive culture. This is an opportunity to drive real change, not just to sustain the status quo or to simply comply.
The role
You'll be the driving force behind safety transformation across their diverse manufacturing and distribution site network. This role is an influencing role working up, down, and across the structure - you won't initially manage a team, but the long term vision is for the influence of this role to grow with you. Being that this role is autonomous, you'll be adept at balancing planning and strategy with execution and delivery, while maintaining responsiveness to issues as they arise. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with operations leaders across the business, just as you'll inlfuence shop floor, and engage with global executives to ensure that your plan is achieved, sustained and improved.
