About the company:
Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer with a long-standing presence in the FMCG industry. With its head office and manufacturing operations based in Yarraville, the business supplies its products to customers across Australia and operates within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Order Entry Officer to join the Customer Service team on a short-term temporary basis, providing additional support while the business works through its permanent recruitment process.

Role & Responsibilities:
· Process customer orders accurately and efficiently into SAP.
· Manage day-to-day order processing and data entry requirements.
· Maintain accurate customer and order information within SAP.
· Respond to customer enquiries relating to orders and deliveries.
· Liaise with internal teams including Sales, Supply Chain and Warehouse to ensure customer requirements are met.
· Assist with transport planning and coordinating deliveries to customers.
· Follow up on order and delivery issues and communicate updates to customers where required.
· Provide general administrative and customer service support to the wider team.
· Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing a consistent volume of orders.

Skills & Experience:
· Previous experience in customer service, order processing, sales administration or a similar role.
· Experience processing customer or sales orders within an ERP system.
· Previous SAP experience is highly desirable.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent data entry and general computer skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
· FMCG, food, beverage, manufacturing or distribution experience would be advantageous.
· A positive, reliable and team-oriented approach.

Ways of Working:
The role is based at the client's Yarraville head office, with a hybrid working arrangement that includes Monday and Friday working from home.
The successful candidate will initially work closely with the team in the office while being trained across the company's systems and processes.

Nature of contract:
This is initially a short-term temporary contract of approximately 3–6 months, with the potential for the position to extend beyond this or transition into a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.The client is looking for someone who can commence ASAP, with immediate or short-notice availability highly preferred.
