Our client is an established Australian business operating across the automotive and sports / fitness sectors, with a diverse product portfolio and a strong focus on delivering quality products to market.
As the business continues to develop its operations and invest in improved systems and processes, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join the team. This is a newly evolved position, offering the opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to take ownership of a broad purchasing and supply chain function and contribute to the next phase of operational improvement.
About the Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll play a key role in managing the day-to-day purchasing and supply chain activities across the business. Working closely with suppliers, internal teams and finance, you'll ensure purchase orders are placed accurately, orders are followed through and data is maintained across the function.
This is a hands-on role combining purchasing, supplier management, Excel reporting, shipping coordination and process improvement. It's ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, takes pride in accuracy and is confident identifying opportunities to improve the way things are done.
With the business transitioning to NetSuite, you'll also have the opportunity to support systems improvement and contribute to more efficient ways of working across the function.

Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Supplier Management
- Manage the purchasing and ordering process, including placing purchase orders and following up with suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support timely order fulfilment.
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders, delivery timelines and supplier commitments.
- Ensure purchasing information, pricing and order details are accurate and up to date.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact purchasing or supply chain activities.
- Maintain and improve Excel spreadsheets used across purchasing and supply chain.
- Utilise VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, formulas and other Excel functionality to manage and analyse data.
- Ensure purchasing, product and supplier data is accurate and maintained to a high standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data visibility and operational efficiency.
- Bring structure to existing processes and contribute to the development of more effective ways of working.
- Coordinate shipping bookings and support the consolidation of shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipment information, pricing and freight data.
- Follow up on outstanding shipping requirements and ensure relevant information is communicated internally.
- Work closely with suppliers and logistics providers to support the movement of goods.
- Liaise with finance regarding payments associated with purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records across relevant purchasing and supply chain systems.
- Support the business through its transition to NetSuite.
- Assist with data accuracy, system administration and process improvements as required.
- Previous experience in a Supply Chain Coordinator, Purchasing Coordinator, Purchasing Officer, Procurement Coordinator or similar role.
- Hands-on experience managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up and purchasing administration.
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, formulas and spreadsheet management.
- Experience maintaining accurate purchasing, product or supplier data.
- Exposure to shipping coordination, logistics or freight management.
- Experience working with ERP systems. NetSuite experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies or errors in data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive, switched-on approach with the confidence to investigate issues and improve existing processes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- A genuine interest in a long-term opportunity where you can take ownership and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the function.
- Salary of $90,000 - $95,000 + super.
