As the Strategic Category Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of products in Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Head of Retail Sales, this role involves developing strategic category management initiatives to meet consumer, shopper, and customer needs. You will provide thought leadership and category expertise, enhancing the in-store presence of products and achieving category growth objectives.

Skills And Experience Required
The ideal candidate should possess proven expertise in FMCG category management, ideally within blue-chip FMCG/consumer products, with a strong background in category and shopper insights. A degree in Commerce or Marketing is required, alongside proficiency in analysing IRI and Nielsen data. The candidate must be solution-oriented, with strong leadership skills and commercial acumen to navigate complex situations proactively.

As the Strategic Category Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of products in Australia and New Zealand. Role Responsibilities
- Develop Clear Category Vision: Create a comprehensive category vision based on a deep understanding of shopper, customer, and business needs.
- Translate Vision into Activation: Convert category vision and growth drivers into insight-led solutions, influencing customer range review decisions and shopper behaviour at the point of sale.
- Influence In-Store Visibility: Set objectives for category reviews by customer to enhance in-store visibility, including shelf and display quality and quantity.
- Research Management: Recommend partners and processes for managing end-to-end complex research projects, including brand understanding, positioning, advertising, communications, sensory research, concept testing, and simulated test markets.
- Challenge and Improve: Challenge internal research briefs and provide alternative solutions to enhance the effectiveness of category strategies.
