Category Manager
Our client is one of Australia's most loved brands and in one of the fastest growing verticals in the retail market. With continued growth and investment in their product strategy, a Category Manager role for Private Label has been created and will have a key role in the commercial team based in Sydney.
The role reports to the Merchandise Manager and will have full accountability for one of the fastest growing categories in the business and with a newly created strategy in place it's the perfect opportunity for an ambitious and passionate Category Manager to own, execute and develop this key category and deliver a market leading portfolio of products to customers.
The successful candidate will have 2-5 years experience in a retail buying/category management role preferably with experience in private label but a diverse blend of categories in food and general merchandise will be considered. We are looking for an ambitious, humble, and innovative person who is passionate about what they do and committed to learning and growing. You will be able to demonstrate your successful track record in developing, growing, and driving the long term success of a category and contributing culturally and getting involved in cross functional initiatives/projects in a business. The commercial and technical skills are important but the business is willing to train and invest in the development of a person but the soft-skills, personality and cultural fit are absolutely essential.
