About the role: 
 
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is critical to ensuring Greening Australia’s future growth, return and financing, working closely with the CEO and Board. With a direct reporting line to the CEO, this role will have responsibility for the day-to-day finance, and information technology governance of the GA Group plus the implementation of longer-term strategies and initiatives to support the Group’s growth including portfolio optimization, risk mitigation and favourable funding.

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Provide the CEO and Executive with meaningful insights and advice to assist decision making, enabling the achievement of key strategic objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial direction and oversee the deployment of resources to meet the Organisation’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Executive, CEO and Board to secure favourable funding to support delivery of key restoration contracts and support growth in both the seed and restoration areas of the organisation.
  • Ensure a high level of risk management and associated internal audit processes are in place and working closely with the Corporate Counsel to ensure legal compliance.
  • Lead the finance and IT teams, embracing the values of Greening Australia with a focus on best practice business partnering, financial control, data and cyber security, reporting, systems and processes that enable the business to achieve its core objectives.
  • Lead ICT function
  • Supporting GA’s people, leadership and cultural initiatives
  • Build financial governance, systems and disciplines and providing high quality, proactive and commercially insightful analysis.
  • Lead Executive reporting to the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee (FRAC)
 
About you:   
  • CA, or CPA qualified
  • Proven people leader that has built skilled teams that are business partners to deliver on organizational objectives.
  • Experience leading a finance function within a diverse asset and product portfolio.
  • Experience in leading change projects and business transformation
  • Proven communication, commercial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Strategic planning and modelling capability and experience
  • M&A experience desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
