Change Communications Lead

The Role:
This opportunity is a 12-month contract, as Change Communications Lead to support through a program of transformation. 
Internal communications and engagement are a core component of the role, and includes developing strategies, schedules, campaigns and content for internal channels that connect people with the agency goals, guide workers through the change program, reinforce the desired culture, and build engagement and community.
 
Reporting directly to General Manager (GM) Corporate Affairs and in close partnership with the Manager, Corporate Communications the role will be key to ensuring the Agency manages the change process effectively.

Responsiblites the Change Communications lead will:
  • Work with the GM Corporate Affairs, to develop and implement, internal communications and engagement strategy for the program
  • Support workstream leads to forward plan their internal communications and engagement schedule. Identify strategic opportunities of connection and integration.
  • Identify content and channel opportunities to amplify and profile different phases of the program including visual design, channel structure, engagement tools and information sharing events or sessions.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for leadership to best communicate with their teams and the agency
  • Support Senior Leaders with message development, talking points and content
  • Write engaging communications content for a range of channels and voices – including CEO, SLT, intranet, Newsletter, emails, talking points etc.

  
Skills and experience

To be the successful candidate for this role, you will have the following:
  • Demonstrable experience in change and internal communications, in government, NGO, corporate or consultancy.
  • Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills
  • Highly developed written communication skills including being able to adapt style and tone to different audiences and platforms both on and offline.
  • Highly competent in using a range of internal communications tools – EDM platforms, intranet CMS, working to guidelines and best practice.
  • Well-developed skills in gathering and using data from a range of sources to inform and evaluate work, develop business cases and contribute to ongoing reporting requirements.
  • Good project management skills and attention to detail, to meet deadlines within budget
  • Able to work with designers, agencies, photographers/videographers and other content creators to produce high quality collateral.
Desirable
  • Experience with design and Adobe suite
  • Energy sector experience
