Our client is a market leader in the food industry, known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. Their mission is to provide exceptional food solutions to their customers and are now looking for a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager to join their Commercial Food Service & State Operations team. This role will focus on maximizing customer engagement within a defined geographical region, working closely with key accounts, end users, and ingredients customers.


About the role

As the Territory Manager, your primary focus will be to market and promote their Food Service products within the Southwest/ Central West region. You will be responsible for building awareness, managing product trials, and driving adoption across high-profile and high-volume accounts. You will also play a key role in developing the catering business by collaborating with marketing, product management, and distributor teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring their needs are met with excellent service.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and prospects, aligning them with the company’s marketing strategy.
  • Analyse new innovations and products to determine potential for major spend and market growth.
  • Maximize sales volume, gross sales value, and contribution margin by setting clear objectives for high-profile/high-volume accounts.
  • Strategically manage pricing, trade spend, and relationships to gain market share in key product categories.
  • Create detailed annual account plans that contribute to the overall state business plan.
  • Manage the trial of new products within your region, identifying key accounts with maximum potential.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute strategic marketing plans and develop direct marketing approaches.

About you

You are a seasoned professional with proven experience in territory management or sales, ideally within the food service industry. Your strong grasp of sales processes, customer relationship management, and strategic account planning sets you apart. With excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, you thrive in building and nurturing client relationships. You excel at working independently, managing your time efficiently, and consistently delivering results in a competitive environment. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, you're always ready to hit the road, eager to make an impact within your designated territory.
