About the company
This is one of Australia's largest food companies with an extensive site network, substantial market share, and some of the oldest and largest sites in the country. As they embark on a site renewal and strategic improvement program, they have given the green light to substantial capital expenditure and as a result, need to expand their capital engienering team.

About the role
We're looking for multiple project engineers each of whom will typically be based at one of their manufacturing sites located in the inner Western and Northern suburbs of Melbourne, though the opportunity will exist to work on projects at other sites from time to time depending on resource allocation across the portfolio. There will be a mix of typical site capital which can be a broad range of subject matter, as well as strategic capital which is generally going to be automation and robotics, new lines, site and capacity expansion, new product introductions, and safety improvements. You'll manage projects end to end including from preparation of business cases through to operational handover ensuring vertical startup.

About you
We're looking for engineers with experience delivering capital projects on food and beverage manufacturing sites:
  • Engineering degree or trades background (likely mechanical or electrical)
  • Experience delivering capital projects at manufacturing sites
  • Industry background in food and beverage (any category would be fine)

Why apply?
We can be flexible on remuneration so as to be attractive to anybody in the early-mid stages of their career, and we're open to talking to more senior project engineers too - this is a great time to join this particular business with a significant capital investment and a structure which allows people who want to drive their career to step up, working for leadership who have a strong focus on succession planning and afford people a lot of autonomy in how they do their jobs. The team is highly integrated and you'll be encouraged to sit in site and regional leadership meetings so as to understand how to drive projects that will improve the performance of sites and resolve core challenges, and you'll be working hand in glove with the CI team who will generate data driven projects for you.
