About the Role

The Key Account Manager/Senior Customer Relationship Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing relationships with their most strategic and key accounts. This role is critical to ensuring that the product offerings align with customer needs and that they deliver on their
promises, maintaining strong supply chains, and achieving customer satisfaction as outlined in customer agreements. You will be responsible for driving both the retention and expansion of business within existing accounts while also identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
 
Key responsibilities:

  • Major Account Management: Directly manage and oversee major accounts, ensuring that all contract conditions are met and that customers receive the highest level of service.
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Cultivate and sustain deep, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at designated customer sites.
  • Customer Needs Assessment & Strategic Insights: Regularly conduct site visits and meetings with key customer contacts to gain a thorough understanding of their operations, both short-term and long-term goals, and challenges.
  • New Business Development: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within your existing accounts and with potential new customers.
  • Proposal Development & Negotiation: Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and presentations.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, including pipeline development, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
 
Skills & Experience:

  • Proven ability to sell in a B2B environment, ideally within the Corporate Hospitality, Foodservice, or packaging/manufacturing sectors.
  • A deep understanding of complex sales cycles and the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments is essential.
  • A strong track record of establishing and maintaining multi-point contacts with customers.
  • Experience or familiarity with food packaging, or similar industries (FMCG), including an understanding of where products and services fit within these markets.
  • Experience in preparing annual budgets and customer plans, with the ability to align customer relationship strategies with broader business goals.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, internal stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
